The current economy has forced everyone—individuals, businesses, and other institutions both public and private—to confront major financial challenges. The State of Iowa is no different, and budget cuts to our public universities have already occurred, will occur into the next fiscal year, and may well continue to occur beyond that. This webpage will provide the University community with information about our institution’s budget and the ways we are meeting today’s economic challenges.
We want our community to stay apprised and be part of the deliberative process. To that end, we will add information to this web site on a regular basis. As we move forward, we will observe the long-honored processes of working with elected UI constituencies, and we encourage individuals to communicate suggestions to the administration through this webpage.
